Creating Momentum Around a Major Milestone
For five decades, By the Bay Health has been a pioneering force in expanding access to serious illness and end-of-life care, including hospice and palliative care, throughout the Bay Area. As one of the oldest nonprofit hospice providers in the U.S., the organization has supported tens of thousands of patients and their families with dignity, compassion, and expertise, and helped pass the medicare benefit for hospice in Congress.
THE SITUATION
Building a Campaign
Approaching its 50th anniversary, the organization saw an opportunity—not just to celebrate its long-standing commitment to community care, but also to galvanize support for its future work. Leadership approached A Brave New with a dual challenge:
- Develop a bold and inspiring campaign to honor the organization’s past.
- Leverage the moment to drive awareness and fundraising for future initiatives.
THE SOLVE
Translating 50 Years of Impact into a Celebration
We partnered closely with By the Bay Health’s leadership to conceptualize and execute a multi-faceted digital campaign that captured the heart of their mission and brought their 50-year legacy to life.
To anchor the campaign, we developed a special webpage that honored the organization’s heritage while aligning seamlessly with its existing brand identity. This dynamic page:
- Highlighted key milestones in the organization’s history with an interactive timeline.
- Showcased powerful video storytelling and community testimonials.
- Drove engagement through clear calls to action for donations, volunteerism, and learning more about palliative care.
The modular design allowed for real-time updates and seamless integration of campaign content throughout the celebration period.
In addition, we created a robust series of written content designed to both inform and emotionally engage stakeholders:
- Two downloadable eBooks exploring the fundamentals of palliative care and the future of compassionate healthcare.
- A series of anniversary-themed blog posts, covering:
- The organization’s advocacy and legislative work.
- Deep dives into patient stories and caregiver testimonials.
- Reflections from long-time staff and volunteers.
Each piece reinforced By the Bay Health’s enduring impact and invited readers to take part in shaping the next 50 years.
Rounding out the content, we scripted, shot, and edited two signature videos as the campaign’s narrative anchors:
- "50 Years of Care" – A retrospective tribute capturing the history, milestones, and heart behind By the Bay Health’s work.
- "Looking Ahead" – A forward-focused piece spotlighting the organization’s evolving vision, future initiatives, and calls to action for supporters.
Both videos were featured on the homepage, shared across social channels, and showcased during anniversary events.
